I had a resin bonded driveway installed last year. It’s too abrasive. My child was playing, fell and tore her knees to shreds. The same contractor has advised I could have resin bound installed straight over the top. Is this ok?
Posted a similar reply yesterday. Again, it’s only as good as it’s base. If the bonded surface is sound it will be fine. The contractor just needs to make sure the surface is clean, dry and free from contaminants, loose etc. Resin bound will adhere very well to bonded, because of the texture. Your contractor should be able to make an informed decision on the integrity of the existing surfaces. If it’s only a year old, should be absolutely fine (if it was installed well).
Thank you @Johnny Large. Sorry for the delay. I’ve since scouted out another contractor and plan to have resin bound installed next year. Really appreciate you comments
